Florida: Day 5

Today, Jake and I went and got breakfast at C'est la Vie, a French restaurant and bakery on Main Street. As usual, it was scrummy! Then we walked down to the Bayfront and I found a geocache! Well actually, Jake found it; I was just standing closer to it.

Camille is a swinger!

Astronaut training.
After breakfast and geocaching, we came back home and put Camille down for a nap while we waited for my aunt and cousin to drive down from Kissimmee. Once they got here, we went out to the Big Cat Habitat. The people who own it are friends of my mom going waaaaaaaay back. When I was a kid, I used to play on the compound that is now the Habitat, and the adults used to have bonfires and get crazy. Now, what used to be open pastures are enclosures for animals that they acquired, most of which were rescued or were illegally-owned pets that were deemed unable to return to the wild.

Kodiak Bear

A more different Kodiak Bear who was taking a dip.

Pygmy goat and two baby pygmy goats. These little guys were SO CUTE!

Camille was soooo excited.  :|

She liked the goat!

Oh hai Mr. Goat.

The lady on the left is Linda. The dude on the right is... some monkey.
He was grooming her. He had very large fangs. It was kinda scary. He looked like Dracula.

Baby chimp! Well, toddler chimp, I guess. He was 2 years old.

He kept trying to hold Camille's hand but then would get scared at the last minute and pull it back.

Awwww some day you're going to grow up and be a troglodyte.

This goat is nibbling Camille's toes. She didn't care for it one bit.

9-month-old lion cub.

She wants you to rub her tummy!

He wants you to rub his tummy, too!

He wants you to slather yourself in BBQ sauce or GTFO.

Camille sitting at the jaws of sleepy death.

Mia, the liger. YES IT'S A LIGER!
The liger, Mia, is huge.

"Hey what's that over there?"

"Aaahhhh get your camera outta my damn face!"

Gay tortoises having a gay old tortoise time.

Camille had fun!

Four young birdies and Jake.

The birdies like Jake.

They like him a lot.

He kept putting them back on their cage, and they kept flying onto his head.  Once, all four of them were clamoring about on his head and shoulders, and Camille started freaking out. Once she realized that the birdies weren't hurting Daddy, she settled down.
Now, we're back at my mom's, resting our feets and getting ready to nom upon some BBQ for dinner. I'm so sad that the vacation's almost over. I don't want to go back to Utah!
