Jon Gosselin had the kids this past holiday weekend and planned a Labor Day cookout."It's just me, solo again," Gosselin, who is sharing custody with his estranged wife Kate, told People at his Wernersville, Pa., home on Monday as his eight kids played nearby.
On the menu: hot dogs, macaroni salad, cupcakes and the huge lollipops he bought the kids at The Sugar Factory in Las Vegas during his visit there the previous weekend.
Kate was set to return home Monday night, he said, and take over parenting duties, which includes taking the kids to the bus stop now that they're back in school. It's a task that will be made easier now that their dad has added a new car to the family fleet: a black Mercedes ML350.
"I needed a car for the winter," said Gosselin, who is leasing the vehicle, delivered Saturday. He also owns a black BMW, and the family has a large van that fits all eight kids. But "the big van won't drive in the snow," Gosselin said. And the Mercedes only fits three kids, he adds, so what will he do when it snows? "I haven't figured that out yet," he said.
